WHAT A TOURNAMENT

We’re riding high after the success of our 34th Annual AFC Corsham Grassroots Football Tournament. A record-breaking weekend that truly captured the heart of grassroots football and everything our club stands for.

A Huge Thank You to Everyone Involved

To our attendees – your energy, positivity and unwavering support helped create a fantastic, family-friendly atmosphere from the first whistle to the last.

To the players – what a joy to witness such talent, effort, sportsmanship and sheer love for the game. You made us all incredibly proud.

To the coaches – thank you for your dedication, sportsmanship and the respect shown to your teams and opponents alike.

To our referees, especially Julian Sattin, who marked an incredible 15 years of service at our tournament – thank you for your tireless commitment and leadership. Your calm presence ensured the matches ran smoothly and offered vital experience to our emerging young officials.

To the volunteers – from setup and car park teams, to the gate, BBQ, tea tent and roaming facilities crew – your smiles, organisation and commitment were the heartbeat of this tournament. We cannot thank you enough.

To our brilliant First Aid Team, who saw 15 people across the weekend including a suspected wrist fracture – your professionalism and care ensured everyone felt safe and well supported.

On the Pitch – Standout Club Highlights

We were proud of every AFC Corsham team, but a few standouts deserve a special mention:

The two U6 Wildcats teams who got their first taste of competition and performed amazingly well representing the club with such pride!

U12 Girls – crowned champions! Huge credit to coaches Adam Dark and Rich Boore

U16 Jaguars – edged the final in a dramatic penalty shootout – well done to Alex Kiely, Kevin Hudd, and Dan Phillips

U13 Jaguars – capped the weekend with their fourth winners trophy of the season, delivered in style by Dan Wildman, Kierran Slimmon, and Andy Simpson
